Live Seafood System

Marine Build Inc. has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing live seafood systems. Our systems are carefully designed and constructed to keep seafood alive and healthy until it is ready for sale. We offer a variety of live seafood systems, including custom builds, holding tanks, and turnkey systems, and work directly with our customers to customize and construct the perfect system to fit their needs. Our systems feature advanced water filtration and monitoring systems, temperature control systems, feeding and lighting systems that simulate natural light, and provide the seafood with the nutrients it needs to grow and remain healthy. In addition, we use high-quality fiberglass filtration tanks, double-pane acrylic holding tanks, and marine boards for safe and easy walking access. Our turnkey systems are built to make it easier for supermarkets to get their operations going without the cost of installations, and our clients simply need to add water, salt, and water quality additives, which can be provided by Marine Build Inc. With our live seafood systems, you can cultivate high-value seafood such as lobster, crab, and shrimp, as well as certain types of fish like trout and tilapia, making them perfect for seafood markets, restaurants, and other foodservice businesses that demand the freshest and highest-quality seafood available.

Live Seafood System Equipment

Our Equipment Rack is a compact and efficient way to house and organize the necessary equipment for a live seafood system, such as a sand filter, heat exchanger, UV sterilizer, heater, pump with pressure switch and fuse, and air pump. The sand filter removes impurities and debris from the water, while the heat exchanger helps regulate water temperature. The UV sterlizer is used to sterilize the water, and the heater helps maintain the ideal temperature for the seafood. The pump circulates water throughout the system, ensuring proper filtration and oxygenation. The pressure switch and fuse are important safety features that help prevent damage to the equipment and potential safety hazards.

Filtration

Proper filtration is essential for maintaining optimal water quality in seafood systems. To achieve this, a combination of filtration media is often employed to effectively remove impurities, toxins, and debris that can harm aquatic organisms. Activated carbon, for instance, has proven to be an effective filter medium for removing impurities and toxins from the water. Crushed coral is another commonly used filtration medium that helps maintain pH balance and promote the growth of beneficial bacteria. Filter foam, on the other hand, provides both mechanical and biological filtration by trapping debris and particles in the water and creating a large surface area for beneficial bacteria to grow. By using a combination of these filtration media, seafood systems can achieve optimal water quality, which is critical for the health and growth of aquatic organisms. Together, they provide a comprehensive filtration system that ensures a clean and healthy aquatic environment, ultimately leading to successful seafood production.
